A Prayer Breakfast was held on the 20th February 2008 when the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Thelma Jackson, and 93 other people from Macclesfield and surrounding areas enjoyed a breakfast together.  The breakfast itself was served by 24 volunteers from local churches. 

 

Andy Hawthorne was the main speaker at the breakfast and he shared the history of his ministry and how it had led to the development of HOPE 2008.

HOPE 2008 is a national evangelistic initiative to encourage us all to share the hope and love of Jesus with our friends and neighbours.  Following on from Andy, ministers from local churches prayed for all the aspects of the twon, businesses, council staff and hospital staff and patients.
